As I began to follow Christ whole heartedly, I began to personally know him. We have conversations, we laugh together and we connect. I sometimes cry and pour out all my hearts feelings, the mess, the lows, highs, joys and regrets, then Jesus as the best friend that he is comes in and ministers to the wounds of my soul. He encourages and helps me get up. He gently laughs and enlightens me to not take life’s “blows” so seriously as there is so much more goodness that awaits me.
Misunderstood and building Friendship
The more we build our friendship I see that he is so far from the religious images that he is perceived to be. I misunderstood my saviour for so many years. Jesus kindly offers a doorway, a doorway into true life. A life that is expressed as heaven on Earth. He does not focus on sin, laws, regulations, do’s and don’ts. His purpose is restoration, He is on a mission to bring all men and women back home, to commune with their creator, God. That is His number 1 priority.
What if I told you that Jesus just wants YOU. You as you are, no pretence, no perfection just you as you are right now.
No Rule book
It isn’t about pretending to be perfect, it is isn’t about a set rule book of how to pray to Him. He doesn’t hate you because you sin, he won’t push you away if you make a mistake , He won’t punish you for your wrong doings. In fact He will love you more so- because where sin abounds there is more grace and love.
What if I told you that Jesus just wants YOU. You as you are, no pretence, no perfection just you as you are right now. He wants your friendship, He wants to talk to YOU, He wants to reunite you to your Father , the Father of all light.
True Christianity allows you to discover your own spiritual rhythm, it gives you freedom to serve God in a personal style that works for you.
Transformation
As I began to focus on just getting closer to God, to talking to Him every day. I noticed that I began to change, I began to be filled with his love, my thinking began to transform, and it still is. I noticed that I became more spiritual and in tune, I felt more like a human BEING whereas before I felt like a human doing, imprisoned by religion and all its constrains. True Christianity allows you to discover your own spiritual rhythm, it gives you freedom to serve God in a personal style that works for you. Sometimes I write poetry as an expression of worship, sometimes I love to just sit still and speak to Christ in my thoughts. Sometimes I journal writings that bring healing as the holy spirit works through my pen to speak truth to the wounds of my soul thus so gently healing that very wound.
True Christianity
You see religion doesn’t give you the space to be free, it doesn’t give you the freedom to know all of God. It tells you; you are not worthy therefore you can’t speak to God until you do these “holy” acts. It tells you; you must speak to God like this, or worship him in this way… I love the TRUE Christian faith; it gives you freedom form religions limits and it deals with sin in a wonderful way. Jesus covers your sin and imperfections. He miraculously gives you a brand-new perfect spirit that is your symbol that you belong to God.
To sum this all up, I want you know that Jesus is a real person he has offered the world salvation, hope and peace. Where heaven can be lived on Earth. Where eternal things can be daily experienced in joy, love, peace, goodness, happiness, victory, faith, hope and these are just a few things. Where even in trials we can rejoice because we know that God has overcome all things.
Throw Away Religion
If you have misunderstood Jesus, I urge you to throw out religious preconceptions. Renew your mind and see the infinite truth and joy that is promised to all believers. Open your heart and embrace your creator. Come back home and forge an everlasting, loving relationship with the one that saves the human soul.
